Introduction
Welcome to Claris World Travel & Adventures. These Terms and Conditions govern the use of our website and the booking or purchase of travel-related services arranged or provided by us.
By making an enquiry, requesting a quotation, making a booking or otherwise confirming a travel service with Claris World Travel & Adventures, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
Definitions
In these Terms and Conditions:
- "Claris" refers to Claris World Travel & Adventures.
- "Client", "Traveller" or "You" refers to the person making an enquiry or booking.
- "Services" refers to travel services arranged or provided by Claris, including safaris, excursions, flights, transfers, camping equipment hire and custom travel planning.
- "Supplier" refers to a third party involved in delivering a travel service, including airlines, accommodation providers, transport operators, guides, parks, conservancies and activity providers.
Bookings & Confirmations
Travel enquiries submitted through our website, WhatsApp, telephone, email or other communication channels are enquiries until confirmed by Claris.
A booking becomes confirmed when Claris has confirmed the requested service and any required payment or deposit has been received in accordance with the quotation or booking confirmation.
Availability, prices, itineraries and arrangements may change before a booking is confirmed.
Please check your booking confirmation carefully and notify us as soon as possible if any information is incorrect.
Prices & Payments
Prices quoted by Claris may depend on availability, travel dates, group size, accommodation, transportation, park or attraction fees, supplier charges and other factors.
Unless otherwise stated, a quotation does not constitute a guaranteed reservation.
Payment requirements, deposits, balances and payment deadlines will be communicated to the client as part of the applicable quotation or booking confirmation.
Where a supplier changes its price, availability or applicable charge before confirmation, Claris may need to revise the quotation accordingly.
Cancellations, Refunds & No-Shows
Cancellation and refund conditions may vary depending on the service booked and the terms imposed by the relevant supplier.
Where specific cancellation terms apply, they will be communicated to the client before or at the time of booking.
Cancellation requests should be communicated to Claris as early as possible through an official communication channel.
Amounts already paid may be subject to supplier cancellation charges, administrative costs or other non-refundable expenses where applicable.
Failure to arrive for a confirmed service without prior notice may be treated as a no-show and may result in loss of the amount paid, subject to the applicable booking terms.
Always review the cancellation conditions supplied with your specific booking. Different services may have different cancellation rules.
Changes To Bookings & Itineraries
Travel plans may sometimes need to change because of availability, weather, operational requirements, road conditions, conservation requirements, supplier decisions or other circumstances beyond our control.
Where reasonably possible, Claris will communicate significant changes and work with the client to identify a suitable alternative.
Alternative arrangements may differ in price, timing, route, accommodation or activities.
Travel Documents & Traveller Requirements
Travellers are responsible for ensuring that they have all documents required for their journey.
Depending on the destination and service, these may include:
- Valid identification or passport.
- Visas or entry permits where applicable.
- Required travel authorisations.
- Airline or transport documentation.
- Relevant health or vaccination documentation where required.
Clients should verify current entry, immigration and health requirements for their destination before travelling.
Third-Party Suppliers
Some services arranged by Claris are delivered by independent third-party suppliers.
These may include airlines, hotels, camps, transport providers, tour operators, professional guides, activity providers, parks, conservancies and other travel businesses.
Supplier-specific terms may apply in addition to these Terms and Conditions.
Where appropriate, clients will be informed of relevant supplier conditions before confirming their booking.
Weather, Safety & Unforeseen Circumstances
Kenya's travel environments include wildlife areas, mountains, forests, beaches, islands, roads and outdoor activities. Conditions may change without notice.
Activities and itineraries may therefore need to be modified, delayed or cancelled where reasonably necessary for safety or operational reasons.
Examples may include severe weather, flooding, road conditions, wildlife-related safety considerations, natural events, government restrictions, park decisions, strikes, transport disruptions or other circumstances beyond reasonable control.
Traveller Responsibility
Travellers are expected to behave responsibly and follow reasonable instructions from Claris staff, guides, drivers, accommodation providers, park authorities and activity operators.
Travellers should:
- Follow safety instructions.
- Respect wildlife and protected areas.
- Respect local communities and cultures.
- Take reasonable care of personal belongings.
- Inform Claris of relevant requirements that could affect the planned service.
Claris reserves the right to refuse or discontinue a service where a traveller's conduct presents a serious safety risk, threatens others or materially disrupts the service.
Liability
Claris will take reasonable care in arranging and providing the services that it offers.
However, some aspects of travel are provided or controlled by independent suppliers and circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended to exclude or limit any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Clients are encouraged to obtain appropriate travel insurance covering the nature of their trip, including medical expenses, cancellation, interruption, baggage and other relevant risks.
