Introduction

Welcome to Claris World Travel & Adventures. These Terms & Conditions govern the booking and provision of our tours, safaris, camping experiences, road trips, water excursions, city tours, tailor-made adventures, events and related travel services.

By making a booking with Claris World Travel & Adventures, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.

Definitions

For the purposes of these Terms:

Booking & Confirmation

A booking request may be submitted through our website, WhatsApp, telephone, email, social media or other official communication channels.

A booking is not considered confirmed until the requested service has been confirmed as available and any required deposit or payment has been received.

Payments

Payment requirements vary depending on the tour, event, accommodation, transport arrangement or tailor-made itinerary.

The Company will communicate the applicable price, deposit requirement, payment deadline and payment method before confirmation where reasonably practicable.

• Approved mobile-money payments
• Bank transfers
• Card payments where available
• Other payment methods communicated by the Company

Prices & Taxes

Prices displayed on our website, social media pages, quotations or promotional materials may be subject to change before booking confirmation.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, the quoted price will specify what is included and excluded.

Where applicable, government taxes, levies, park fees, conservation fees, service charges or other mandatory charges will be communicated to the client.

Cancellation

Cancellation by the Client

Cancellation requests should be submitted through an official Claris World Travel & Adventures communication channel.

Any applicable cancellation charges or refund eligibility will depend on the type of booking, date of cancellation, amounts already paid to third-party suppliers and the specific cancellation conditions communicated with the booking.

Cancellation by the Company

The Company reserves the right to cancel or suspend a trip where circumstances make operation unsafe, impractical or impossible.

Changes to Itineraries

Travel itineraries may be affected by weather, conservation requirements, road conditions, security, supplier availability and other operational circumstances.

The Company may make reasonable changes where necessary for safety, logistics, availability or circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

Transport

Transport arrangements may be provided using Company vehicles or third-party transport providers.

Clients are required to follow reasonable instructions provided by drivers, guides and trip leaders.

Accommodation

Accommodation is subject to availability and confirmation.

The Company may use hotels, lodges, campsites, tented camps, resorts or other accommodation providers depending on the itinerary.

Activities & Adventure Risks

Certain Claris World Travel & Adventures experiences may involve outdoor, marine, wildlife, hiking, camping, road-trip or other adventure activities.

These activities may involve inherent risks, including:

• Uneven terrain
• Weather conditions
• Water-related risks
• Wildlife encounters
• Road travel
• Physical exertion

Clients must follow instructions provided by professional guides, drivers, activity operators and trip leaders.

Travel Documents

Clients are responsible for obtaining and carrying all documents required for their travel.

• National identification documents
• Passports
• Visas and permits
• Travel insurance documents
• Other legally required documentation

Client Responsibilities

Clients are expected to:

• Provide accurate booking information.
• Arrive at agreed pickup points on time.
• Follow reasonable instructions from guides and drivers.
• Respect local communities and cultures.
• Respect wildlife and conservation regulations.
• Respect other travelers.
• Comply with applicable laws and regulations.

Force Majeure

The Company shall not be responsible for failure or delay in providing services caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

Such circumstances may include:

• Severe weather
• Natural disasters
• Flooding
• Road closures
• Government restrictions
• Public emergencies
• Transport disruptions

Privacy & Personal Information

The Company may collect personal information necessary to process bookings and provide travel services.

Personal information will be handled in accordance with applicable Kenyan data protection requirements and the Company's Privacy Policy.

Complaints

Clients are encouraged to report any issue as soon as reasonably possible while the service is being provided so that the Company has an opportunity to address the matter.

Complaints should be submitted through an official Company communication channel.

Limitation of Liability

The Company will take reasonable care in arranging and providing its services.

However, the Company is not responsible for circumstances outside its reasonable control or for losses arising from a client's failure to follow reasonable instructions, provide accurate information or comply with applicable requirements.

Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions shall be interpreted in accordance with the laws applicable in the Republic of Kenya.

Any dispute arising in connection with these Terms or the services provided by the Company should first be addressed through good-faith communication between the Company and the client.
